Currently, Thalapathy Vijay is developing what seems to be his last movie titled Thalapathy 69, under the direction of H Vinoth. Announced back in October 2024, production and filming on this project have now commenced.
According to industry analyst Ramesh Bala’s recent report, the film is expected to finish production by March 2025. If this schedule holds, the leading actor will have sufficient time to dedicate himself more towards his political aspirations, which are anticipated to last until the Tamil Nadu elections in 2026. At present, however, it’s important to note that these are merely speculations and only time will confirm whether the production will indeed end by then.
Thalapathy Vijay recently joined in on Pongal festivities with his fellow actors this year. A video posted by The Route on YouTube captured the superstar celebrating with his previous co-star, Keerthy Suresh, and her husband. In addition to them, other stars like Kalyani Priyadarshan, Mamitha Baiju, Kathir, and several others were also part of the festivities.
In the future, Thalapathy Vijay recently starred as the main character in a film titled “The Greatest Of All Time” or “GOAT.” This movie, helmed by Venkat Prabhu, tells the story of an anti-terrorist squad leader who isolates himself following the presumed death of his son. This tragedy causes a rift between him and his spouse.
Yet, when his son unexpectedly reappears, everything takes a positive turn in his life, yet a shadowy enigma lingers around the son’s arrival. The remainder of the film centers around their subsequent events. Featuring Thalapathy Vijay as the main character with two roles, this movie also stars Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Mohan, Jayaram, Ajmal Ameer, Vaibhav, Yogi Babu, Premgi Amaren, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, and others in prominent roles.
In addition, it’s anticipated that Thalapathy Vijay’s rumored last film, Thalapathy 69, will blend action, drama, and a touch of politics as its central themes. This movie is under the direction of H Vinoth, with Bobby Deol and Pooja Hegde sharing leading roles alongside Vijay.
