Actress Nithya Menen is preparing for the debut of her movie Kadhalikka Neramillai, helmed by Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi. In support of the film’s launch, Menen recently participated in an interview with Galatta Plus. During this conversation, she shared insights about the established structure of authority that often takes place on movie sets.

In their conversation, the actress was questioned about her feelings regarding Ravi Mohan’s suggestion that Nithya’s name should be placed before his on the poster, which goes against the standard practice. To this, the actress replied, “Seeing my name first gave me a sense of healing in people’s minds. I view such actions as groundbreaking, and it’s not only Kiru or myself, but Ravi is also involved in that change. Because he said, ‘go ahead, do it’.

Specifically, she pointed out that often, the film’s main male character and director take precedence over the female lead, even in aspects like the arrangement of production trailers or when they are introduced on stage.

Moreover, the actress shared that in the ritual of a film’s blessing, the roles are assigned in the sequence of the hero, director, and then the heroine, regardless of positioning. Expressing her discomfort, she stated, “This is so narrow-minded, just act normally. Be genuine. Recognize people for their merits, whether they’re male or female.

In the days ahead, the movie titled “Kadhalikka Neramillai” will be in focus, featuring Nithya Menen and Ravi Mohan as the main characters. This film is categorized as a romantic comedy. The plot seems to center on two people who have contrasting opinions about marriage, love, and having children. Ultimately, it explores whether or not the feeling of love endures across different generations.

Apart from Neramilla, the actress will additionally star with Dhanush in the upcoming film titled “Idly Kadai.” This movie is slated for release on April 10, 2025.
