Khabib Nurmagomedov Removed From Frontier Airlines Following Dispute

Wondering why Khabib Nurmagomedov was kicked off a Frontier Airlines flight? The retired UFC champ ended up in a heated situation during boarding, causing lots of discussion and debate. With videos popping up online and questions left unanswered, the event has left people wanting to understand what really happened.

Let’s delve into the events that transpired during that flight, the crucial instances caught on camera, and the lingering mysteries related to this notable event.

What happened to Khabib Nurmagomedov on the Frontier Airlines flight

At Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, Frontier Airlines personnel asked and eventually escorted Khabib Nurmagomedov, a previous UFC lightweight champion, off a flight following an argument about where he was sitting in the emergency exit area.

The flight attendant doubted if Nurmagomedov could help during emergencies, as it’s necessary for passengers in exit-row seats. Despite Nurmagomedov affirming that he grasped the duties and promised to follow them, the crew requested him to leave the seat instead.

Khabib Nurmagomedov spoke about an incident on X (previously Twitter), stating that the flight attendant was extremely rude from the start, despite his passing the airline’s English language test during check-in. After a short conversation, the crew summoned security personnel who removed him from the plane. In a video of the altercation, a flight attendant instructed Nurmagomedov to either switch seats or depart the aircraft.

A travel companion captured the argument on video and spread it across various online platforms. In this recording, Nurmagomedov argues with the flight attendant about their actions, saying, “When I checked in, you asked if I knew English… and I responded that I did. So, why are you treating me like this?” The manager of the flight attendant offers him a different seat or the chance to board another flight, but he refuses. After approximately two minutes of conversation, the airline personnel called for security and escorted Nurmagomedov off the plane.

Later on, Nurmagomedov clarified that due to a 90-minute delay, he switched to another airline and successfully reached his destination. His travel was headed for California where he intended to support his teammates at the forthcoming UFC 311 pay-per-view in Los Angeles. As of now, Frontier Airlines has not released an official statement regarding this incident.

In 2020, Khabib Nurmagomedov concluded his mixed martial arts (MMA) journey unbeaten with a remarkable 29 victories in as many fights. This impressive streak and his position as an undefeated champion earned him a place in the prestigious Hall of Fame.
