Veteran horror writer R.L. Stine has spoken about the possibility of Goosebumps Season 3, after the television series returned on Disney+. The entirety of the second season with all eight episodes can now be streamed, nearly a year and a half since the show initially premiered.
What book does R.L. Stine want adapted for Goosebumps Season 3?
Although Season 3 of Goosebumps hasn’t been officially confirmed as of now, author R.L. Stine has already conceived a story for it. In a recent chat, Stine expressed interest in having the creative team bring to life his most recent Goosebumps book, House of Shivers, particularly his first goblin tale.
As a devoted fan, I’ve been thrilled to see some of my all-time favorites brought to life! They tackled The Haunted Mask in the initial season and covered all things Slappy too. It feels like they’ve given them a shot, but you know, there’s always room for more!
Now, wouldn’t it be great if we could see some of the fresher Goosebumps tales? After all, I’m still going strong and have just committed to penning six additional books! So, I can only hope to witness an adaptation of some of these new stories. One that particularly piques my interest is Goosebumps: House of Shivers, formerly known as Goblin Monday – yes, it’s the very first goblin book I wrote! Fingers crossed we’ll get to see that one on screen soon.

The latest series titled “The Vanishing” is spearheaded by David Schwimmer, a familiar face from the hit show Friends. This production is overseen by executive producers Nicholas Stoller, Rob Letterman, and Hilary Winston, with Letterman taking on the role of showrunner. A team of executive producers including Neal H. Moritz, Iole Lucchese, Pavun Shetty, Conor Welch, Caitlin Friedman, Erin O’Malley, James Eagan, and Karl Frankenfield are also involved. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television, Disney Branded Television, Original Film, Stoller Global Solutions, and Scholastic Entertainment.
