In terms of gaming, innovation can significantly determine the success or failure of a Call of Duty title like Black Ops 6. This game comes loaded with fresh elements such as Omnimovement and customizable weapon builds that let you use your preferred loadouts across multiplayer, Zombies, and the intense Warzone. Treyarch has managed to blend innovation with nostalgia by incorporating popular fan-loved features to ensure longtime franchise fans remain content.
Black Ops 6 offers a multitude of tasks to accomplish, and it can be tough to remember which goals players are pursuing during gameplay. Fortunately, the creators at Treyarch are attentive to feedback. They’ve confirmed that a popular feature from Modern Warfare 3 in 2023 will return – a welcome addition indeed!
Black Ops 6 challenge tracker inbound
In the heat of Black Ops 6’s launch, I found myself yearning for an in-game challenge tracker – a tool that had proven indispensable during my gaming journey with Modern Warfare 3. Though it wasn’t explicitly promised for this new installment, the developer has hinted at its plans to incorporate such a feature as part of an upcoming update. This addition might not have been on the initial roadmap, but for hardcore gamers like me who strive to maximize our gaming time, it’s a welcome news indeed!
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that Treyarch has confirmed on Twitter that the Challenge Tracker mechanic is currently under development, but there’s no set release date yet. Still, knowing that some kind of tracking system will be part of the game when it eventually launches brings me immense satisfaction!
Currently in the works!

Tracking challenges during a game might seem like a minor function, but it can be incredibly beneficial if you’re aiming to accomplish multiple challenges in a short period. Players will be able to see the three challenges that other players have marked before the match starts and monitor their progress effortlessly.
After maintaining a silent stance about the game’s issues since the controversial collaboration with Squid Game was released on January 3rd, 2025, Treyarch is now openly engaging with player feedback, which represents a notable progression. Notably, this developer has been quick to resolve problems in the past but fell short during Season 1.
A worthy addition?
The upcoming game challenge tracker suggests that Treyarch is paying close attention to the player’s feedback. Despite the persistent issue with cheaters casting a large shadow over other game flaws, it’s reassuring to learn about the developer’s future plans. Season 2 kicks off on January 28th, 2025, and we can expect another round of updates soon to tackle the persistent problems that have been bugging players since the beginning of this year.
