This action-packed thriller has stormed the box office, establishing itself as a record-breaking blockbuster and garnering praise from both fans and critics. The Haneef Adeni directorial has now reached new heights, becoming the highest-rated Malayalam film in history.
In a recent chat with India Today Digital, actor Unni Mukundan shared some harrowing experiences from filming Marco, where he was at risk of severe eye damage or even losing his sight altogether.
The actor explained that a large amount of around 250-300 liters of a liquid similar to blood was needed for many of the scenes, due to the extensive use in filming.
Additionally, a chemical solution was introduced into his eyes to make them appear bloodshot and fitting for the rough character portrayed in the script. Over time, this substance became tacky within the eye, potentially posing a risk to his vision that could lead to permanent blindness.
He mentioned that he applied a specific chemical solution to his eye for a more convincing red color, but the material became tacky due to temperature fluctuations. His doctor later warned him that such an action could potentially harm his eyes. He now regrets performing the act.
When queried as to why he felt compelled to undertake such a significant risk initially, the celebrity explained that he found himself completely immersed in the rhythm of filming Marco, which led him to keep shooting without pause, causing him to act as if under a spell or in a trance-like state.
Consequently, he lacked a means to escape the slight chance of forfeiting something of great importance in his life.
