Golden Globes Producers Want Nikki Glaser To Host Awards Ceremony ‘In the Long Term’

The organizers of the Golden Globes anticipate that Nikki Glaser may continue in her role as host for future years’ annual award ceremonies.

On January 5th, 2025, the 82nd Golden Globe Awards ceremony was held. Emilia Pérez was named the winner of the Best Movie in the Musical or Comedy category, and “The Brutalist” won for Best Movie in the Drama category.

The event was hosted by Nikki Glaser, with this being her first time doing so.

What did the Golden Globes producers say about Nikki Glaser continuing to host the show?

In their conversation, Glenn Weiss, the organizer of the Golden Globes, expressed that they had an excellent time working with her, and they believe she could excel in this role over the long run.

Ricky Kirshner, the executive producer, commented, “Nikki truly knocked it out of the park! She put in a lot of effort, did her research, and rehearsed tirelessly. In fact, she performed up to four or five shows a night for weeks on end since November, really pushing herself with this project. And when you have a host who’s that well-prepared, committed, and able to adapt to the current trends in our industry – even in real-time – she excels at it. Nikki demonstrated her hosting skills admirably.

The Globes embody a lively, unconventional ambiance, far from the usual formal or stiff setting. It’s designed to be casual, with audience members able to enjoy alcohol, and it’s intended to be enjoyable and festive. Nikki’s demeanor aligns perfectly with this show, and I believe she impressed greatly during the previous night’s performance.

About whether Glaser has been formally invited to host next year’s ceremony, Weiss commented, “Possibly! However, I can’t make any official statements. As a producer and director of award shows, she seems to have found her perfect fit here, and I believe it went wonderfully on this particular show. I would definitely welcome the opportunity for it to continue.
