At CES 2025 in Las Vegas this week, Microsoft and LG have unveiled a partnership. Starting next year, LG will incorporate Xbox Cloud Gaming into its latest LG Smart TV models. This means that subscribers of Game Pass Ultimate can stream their preferred Xbox games using Microsoft’s cloud gaming services directly on their LG Smart TVs.
This week, Microsoft revealed its partnership with LG, as stated in an Xbox Wire article. They disclosed that LG’s Smart TVs featuring Xbox Cloud Gaming are set to debut “by the end of this year.
This year, it’s expected that the Xbox app will make its debut on LG Smart TVs, enabling Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to stream their games using Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Microsoft’s latest step is significantly advancing Xbox Cloud Gaming in its Beta phase, leveraging feedback from Xbox Insiders for refinement and enhancement. Currently, Cloud Gaming can be accessed on selected mobile devices, VR headsets, Apple and Windows PCs, as well as some Smart TVs. Collaborating with LG is anticipated to extend this availability to a broader range of devices.
