Previously, there were public disagreements involving Nayanthara and actor Dhanush that made headlines. More recently, it’s been claimed she didn’t secure a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the makers of Rajinikanth’s movie, Chandramukhi. But is this claim accurate?
Based on a recent report by industry expert Manobala Vijayabalan, the actress and her production company, Rowdy Pictures, received approval from Chandramukhi’s producers, Sivaji Productions, in the form of a No-Objection Certificate. According to his tweet, this certificate was granted to them on November 2, 2024.
The creators explicitly state in the letter they have no issues with incorporating scenes from the film “Chandramukhi” into the actress’s documentary, even providing suitable timestamps. This clears up any doubts about their discontent over parts of their movie being used in the documentary, and dispels allegations that they demanded payment for its use.

The claims for compensation from the creators of Chandramukhi arise following a public disagreement between Nayanthara and actor Dhanush concerning her documentary. To clarify, Dhanush financially supported the film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, starring Vijay Sethupathi and directed by Vignesh Shivan, in which Nayanthara shared the leading role with him.
Since it’s rumored that they began dating during the filming, producers of her documentary desired to incorporate scenes from the movie into their work. Nevertheless, Dhanush and his production team refused to grant permission for this endeavor.

Despite the initial harmony, a disagreement arose when Dhanush, finding footage from our beloved film’s sets in a documentary, felt compelled to take legal action against Nayanthara and her production house. He requested a substantial sum as compensation for this perceived infringement. The drama between them spilled into the public eye when Nayanthara, in an open letter, expressed her critical views about Dhanush, adding fuel to the fire.
