Actor Jr NTR and director Prasanth Neel are gearing up for their debut collaboration on a yet-to-be-named movie, tentatively called NTRNEEL. The film’s main cast is expected to feature Tovino Thomas, Rukmini Vasanth, and Biju Menon in significant roles.
Based on several online publications like OTTPlay, it’s being speculated that the producers of NTRNEEL might choose those particular actors since the film is set to start production shortly. Nonetheless, at this point, these are merely rumors as the final cast list has not been revealed yet.
It’s intriguing that during a performance for Ajayante Randam Moshanam in 2024, Tovino Thomas hinted at the prospect of him joining the Telugu film industry. If these rumors are confirmed, actor Tovino Thomas will make his Telugu debut, sharing the screen with Jr NTR.
Simultaneously, Rukmini Vasanth will be starting her career in Telugu cinema with this film, whereas Biju Menon is coming back to Telugu movies since his roles in the films Ranam featuring Gopichand and Khatarnak starring Ravi Teja in 2006.
The upcoming movie, tentatively titled “NTRNEEL” or “Dragon,” is scheduled for release in theaters on January 9, 2026. This highly anticipated action epic started production in 2024 following an initial blessing ceremony.
In the future, Tovino Thomas was recently featured as the main character in the film Identity, acting alongside Trisha Krishnan. This action-packed crime thriller revolves around the story of a talented sketch artist and a determined cop who team up to catch an elusive murderer with the assistance of a crucial eyewitness.
In another project, Jr NTR starred as the main character in Devara: Part 1, a film directed by Koratala Siva. This action-drama centered around a man who changes sides after a drug trafficking event takes an unexpected turn. The movie boasted notable performances from Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan as well.
