Who is Vishal?

Vishal Krishna Reddy, commonly known as Vishal, has spent a significant portion of his career in the Tamil film industry. He’s the child of famous film producer GK Reddy. Born in August 1977, he hails from a Telugu-speaking family situated in Chennai. Apart from his father, Vishal’s mother, Janaki Devi, is also a successful businesswoman and producer of Telugu and Tamil films.

The star’s older brother, Vikram Krishna, is his only sibling. Interestingly, both are involved in film industry – while one is an actor, the other has transitioned into a producer role and has actually produced some of his movies.

Vishal finished his education at Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School located in Chennai. Following this, he went on to study Visual Communications for his bachelor’s degree at Loyola College, which is also situated in Chennai.

Vishal’s work beyond the camera

Besides being an actor, Vishal additionally serves as a producer, heading up his own film production company known as Vishal Film Factory.

In addition to that, back in April 2017, he was chosen as the president of the Tamil Film Producers Council. Unfortunately, his tenure didn’t last long as he was dismissed from the same organization following controversial comments he made about the council.
