As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of binge-watching under my belt, I must say that Netflix has been consistently delivering some fantastic content to keep us entertained during these cold, winter nights! The upcoming releases for January 6-12 are no exception.
My Happy Marriage Season 2 promises a delightful continuation of the heartwarming tale of Miyo and Kiyoka, making me eager to witness their journey through new challenges. I’ve always been a fan of Japanese dramas, so I can’t wait to dive back into this one!
On the other hand, The Upshaws Part 6 offers a comedic take on family drama, with Wanda Sykes leading the cast in what seems to be another entertaining season. I’ve been following Sykes’ career for years, and I can tell you that she never disappoints when it comes to making us laugh!
Fake Profile Season 2 looks intriguing as well, with its blend of romance and suspense. The abusive/toxic relationship angle is a heavy topic, but I’m interested to see how they address it and where the story goes next.
Lastly, Lion, with Dev Patel in the lead role, promises an emotional journey. I remember being captivated by Slumdog Millionaire, and I think this film will have a similar impact on me.
To wrap it up, I’d like to share a little joke: Why don’t Netflix shows ever get lost? Because they always find their way back to the streaming device! Happy watching!
Netflix’s new TV and movie releases for January 6-12 2025 include My Happy Marriage Season 2 and The Upshaws Part 6.
In the second season of “My Blissful Marriage,” launching on Netflix January 6th, we delve deeper into the story of Miyo (Reina Ueda) and Kiyoka’s (Kaito Ishikawa) relationship. As they navigate their way through life, fresh obstacles arise, including Kiyoka’s parents and potential enemies plotting to disrupt their harmony.
On January 9th, Netflix will premiere The Upshaws Part 6, a humorous family-drama produced by Wanda Sykes (who also graces the screen as a star) alongside Regina Y. Hicks. This engaging series centers around Bennie Upshaw, who struggles to balance his responsibilities of caring for and supporting his family, all while dealing with the constant harassment from his sister-in-law. The main cast includes Mike Epps, Kim Fields, Khali Daniya-Renee Spraggins, Journey Christine, and Jermelle Simon.
This week, Netflix is releasing the second season of Fake Profile. Picking up after the events of the first season, Camila (played by Carolina Miranda) tries to break free from the clutches of Miguel, her abusive/toxic ex-boyfriend played by Rodolfo Salas, and start a new life with David (Lincoln Palomeque). However, their budding romance is put in jeopardy when a string of mysterious murders occur.
A noteworthy movie titled “Lion” is coming up on Netflix this week, which features Dev Patel, a nominee for the Academy Award. In this film, he portrays Saroo, a 30-year-old man of Indian origin who was brought up by Australians. On a challenging quest, Saroo attempts to locate his biological family, whom he lost contact with in Kolkata at the age of five.
