During a private interview with TopMob, Mohanlal candidly discussed the film series. He explained, “Many are wondering why we haven’t started on Drishyam 3. The truth is, it isn’t a simple matter. It carries immense responsibility. It involves more than merely producing a movie.
The actor explained, “Typically, creating a sequel is quite difficult due to the constant comparison to the original film. However, people seem to be really enjoying the second movie and are asking for more, but it doesn’t work that way.
In the end, Mohanlal concluded his remarks by mentioning that the whole crew is currently engaged in creating another movie, specifically the third installment. He also playfully proposed that anyone might offer suggestions for the plot or themes of the upcoming sequel.
In recent times, Mohanlal appeared in the movie “Barroz 3D”. This movie was released in cinemas on December 25th. Regrettably, even with all the anticipation, Mohanlal’s first directorial venture didn’t fare well at the box office.
In the future, the actor is ready to collaborate with Shobana in director Tharun Moorthy’s upcoming movie. Additionally, he will star as the primary character in L2: Empuraan. Furthermore, he has teamed up with Mammootty for a film provisionally named MMMN.
