Toxic Infinity Nikki players explode in rage over new outfit as devs tell fans to to stop being “hostile”

As a long-time fan of Infinity Nikki, I’ve always appreciated the game’s unique blend of fashion and adventure. However, recent events have left me quite perplexed, much like trying to coordinate an intricate outfit in Miraland. The latest update introducing a free veil has caused quite the stir among the community, with some players expressing outrage over what they see as a betrayal by Papergames.

I must admit, I too was initially taken aback when I heard about this. I had spent a pretty penny on the Moonlight Oath outfit back in the day, eager to adorn my character with that coveted veil. But now, here we are, just a few updates later, and everyone’s getting one for free? It’s like buying the most expensive item at a bazaar only to find out they’re giving it away next week!

But let’s be fair, shall we? The developers have the right to introduce new content and options for all players. After all, that’s what updates are for, isn’t it? So instead of seeing this as a scam, perhaps we should view it as a generous gesture, albeit a bit late for some of us early adopters.

And on a lighter note, I can’t help but chuckle at the irony: here we are, dressing up virtual characters in elaborate outfits, and we’re all in a tizzy over a piece of cloth! If only real-life fashion were this dramatic… Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go coordinate my character’s ensemble for tonight’s grand Miraland ball. Fashion emergencies don’t wait for anyone, even virtual fashionistas like myself!

The first significant post-release upgrade for the open-world fashion game Infinity Nikki has arrived, offering a plethora of fresh wardrobe choices for gamers to acquire. Yet, tranquility is absent in the realm of Miraland as players are rising up against developers Papergames, dissatisfied over their decision to provide free-to-play users with additional options.

Infinity Nikki players revolt over a veil

In the recent update for Infinity Nikki, players now have the opportunity to acquire a fresh outfit featuring a veil, named “Daughter of the Lake”. This outfit is accessible via one of the game’s newly introduced banners. Being a four-star item, it’s likely that many free-to-play gamers can obtain the entire ensemble, including its captivating veil. However, this has sparked some disappointment among players.

Initially when the game was released, there was only one costume that included a veil, and this particular costume was available only by making a premium purchase. This veil cost approximately $50 for players to obtain at launch through the Moonlight Oath outfit. Now that it’s possible to earn a free veil in-game, those who spent money on the game are frustrated because they had previously made the investment.

On the Discord server for Infinity Nikki, players have grown more critical towards the developers due to the recent release of a free veil following a paid one. Although many free-to-play gamers appreciate the availability of a veil for everyone, those who purchased the previous attire feel let down by what they perceive as an error from the developers.

One user expressed their dissatisfaction by saying, “It’s concerning how rapidly they keep releasing more of them,” on Discord. “From my perspective, it’s now clear that I’ve made an unfortunate investment, and Paper[games] appears to be excessively money-hungry.

Some gamers are labeling the introduction of a fresh feature as a “swindle,” suggesting that the game’s creators may have deceived them into purchasing the premium version upon its release, with several players sharing this viewpoint.

Papergames responds

In a communication with players on the official Discord server of Infinity Nikki, developer Papergames voiced their disappointment over the increasing levels of hostility among the player base. Although the game is generally acclaimed for providing a cozy and tranquil open-world experience, it seems that a small but vocal segment of its fanbase has shown quite the opposite behavior.

Recently, we’ve observed a rise in hostility among our members, including towards our moderation team. Please remember that such behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Appropriate warnings will be issued when necessary.
