As a veteran Warframe gamer who has seen the rise and fall of countless weapons over the years, I can confidently say that the Laetum is one of the few exceptions to the rule of temporary power spikes. This Incarnon weapon has stood the test of time, proving itself as an absolute beast in both damage output and versatility.
Among the initial Incarnon weapons introduced to Warframe, the Laetum stands out as a true beast even to this day. Developers at Digital Extremes appear content to maintain it in a high position on the damage hierarchy, making it an effective weapon that players can acquire and enhance without fear of their resources being rendered obsolete following substantial investment.
In the game, though there might be superior secondary weapons tailored for specific duties, a Laetum can effectively handle a wide range of situations. It serves as a versatile tool that can be relied upon in most circumstances. Moreover, it offers a safety net, functioning as an emergency solution when the enemies you’re fighting seem invincible and simply refuse to die.
The best Laetum build in Warframe
This weapon has multiple elements that significantly impact its power, based on your progress in the game. Individual modifications can make it highly potent, but combining it with certain skills, companions, and Arcanes enhances its effectiveness even more.
For this construction, we aim for the minimal critical hit chance since we wish to maximize the potential for enhanced damage on non-critical strikes. Choose these Incarnon bonuses accordingly:
- Rapid Wrath (increased fire rate)
- Feather of Justice (improve ammo efficiency)
- Elemental Excess (increased status chance and decreased critical chance)
- Devouring Attrition (50% chance to deal 2000% damage on non-critical hits)
In addition to that mod configuration, I employ it because Laetum’s Incarnon form inherently causes Radiation damage. This setup provides me with Radiation, Corrosive, and Heat damage, rendering it incredibly effective against a wide variety of in-game enemies, particularly during the Deep Archimedia activity.
Mod | Effect |
---|---|
Galvanized Diffusion | +110% Multishot On Kill: +30% Multishot for 20 seconds, stacks up to 4x. |
Galvanized Shot | +80% Status Chance. On kill: +40% direct damage per status type affecting the target for 14 seconds. Stacks up to 3x. |
Pistol Pestilence | +60 % Toxin +60% Status Chance |
Primed Convulsion | +165% Electricity damage – combines with the Toxin to create Corrosive damage |
Lethal Torrent | +60% Fire Rate +60% Multishot |
Hornet Strike | +220% Damage |
Accelerated Isotope | +60% Radiation +40% Fire Rate |
Primed Heated Charged | +165% Heat damage – helps with armor stripping |
Lethal Momentum | +40% Projectile Speed (Exilus slot) |
To enhance the power of your weapon further, consider utilizing it in conjunction with a particular “weapon-wielding character” known as Warframe. The specific Warframe you choose is entirely your decision, but I often favor Revenant Prime, with Xata’s Whisper integrated into its fourth ability. This configuration provides us with extra Void damage for our weapons, which scales with the strength of your abilities – a feature we aim to boost on Revenant to maximize his Mesmer Skin, survivability, and overall potential.
The final pieces of the puzzle to really maximize our potential damage output would be to bring a Panzer Vulpaphyla pet and use the Viral Quills mod to spread Viral damage to enemies, reducing their overall health and making them easier to deal with.
