As a seasoned Warframe veteran with countless hours spent traversing the digitized landscapes of the Origin System, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement when it comes to the elusive Archon Shards. These enigmatic artifacts have long been whispered about in the shadows of our digital society, and now, finally, they’ve made their way into my arsenal.

In simpler terms, Archon Shards are tools that help improve your Warframe using the Helminth system. These shards can be incorporated into your Warframes, providing additional advantages like increased ability power, duration, efficiency, casting speed, and many other perks. Similar to traditional modding and Arcanes, they enable you to fine-tune your builds in advanced stages of gameplay.

How to get Crimson, Azure, and Amber Archon Shards

In order to utilize Archon Shards, you’ll initially need to work your way through and accomplish the Veilbreaker mission. This task becomes accessible once you have successfully completed The New War.

Each week, I dive into the thrilling Archon Hunt to gather those coveted Archon Shards! Once you’ve wrapped up the Veilbreak quest, simply navigate to the mission bar at the top right for easy access. The type of Shard I’ll obtain varies depending on who I’m chasing – Amar yields Crimson, Nira provides Amber, and Boreal hands over Azure. Occasionally, if lady luck is on my side, I might even score a rare Tau Shard – these babies pack an extra punch with enhanced effects!

The standard chance for this is 20%, although there is a pity system that will increase the chance of your next Shard of the same color dropping by a further 20%. This will stack each time and then reset when a Tau Archon Shard drops.

You can also earn Crimson, Amber, and Azure Shards by completing Netracells or Deep Archimedea in Albrecht’s Laboratory on Deimos. Visiting Bird 3 in the Sanctum Anatomica will also allow you to buy a random Shard each week for 30,000 Cavia Standing, the Syndicate attached to that area.

How to get Violet, Topaz, and Emerald Archon Shards

In simpler terms, the Helminth can acquire a feature named Coalescent Fusion. This function lets you merge Archon Shards, resulting in creating unique ones. To obtain the blueprint for this Helminth Coalescent Segment, you should reach Researcher rank within the Cavia Syndicate and then interact with Bird 3 in the Sanctum Anatomica. The cost will be 30,000 Standing. To construct it, you’ll need specific resources listed below.

  • 50,000 Credits
  • 50 Stela
  • 5 Echo Voca
  • 5 Entrati Lanthorn
  • 25 Necracoil

After constructing it within the Foundry, proceed to the Helminth. The installation process will be automated, resulting in two new icons appearing at the top right of your Archon Shards interface: Coalascent Fusion and Ascent Fusion.

You can mix the following colors to make the Violet, Topaz, and Emerald Shard:

  • Crimson + Azure = Violet
  • Crimson + Amber = Topaz
  • Amber + Azure = Emerald
