Having grown up on the power-packed performances and larger-than-life characters that Vijay brings to life, this news is nothing short of a dream come true.
Actor Thalapathy Vijay is primed to make a grand appearance on the big screen in 2025, with the working title of Thalapathy 69. Since this movie is rumored to be his final film before fully immersing himself in politics, Thalapathy Vijay and co-star Pooja Hegde were spotted shooting scenes together prior to completing their 2024 schedule.
In an Instagram post, actress Pooja Hegde announced that it was her final day on set in the year 2024, accompanied by a photo featuring her and Vijay’s feet. Following the conclusion of filming, preparations for Thalapathy 69 would presumably commence in 2025. Additionally, she posted a snapshot from the location, which seemed to be a beach scene.

Director H Vinoth is overseeing Thalapathy 69, a film rumored to be the superstar’s last one. Earlier, it was revealed that Pooja Hegde would star as the main actress in this movie, which will be her second project with Vijay.
In the 2022 movie titled “Beast,” directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the leading actors had worked together before. The plot revolves around a former intelligence agent from RAW who unintentionally finds himself trapped within a mall that has been seized by terrorists. This upcoming movie is said to be a thrilling action tale that incorporates political themes and is scheduled for theater release on Diwali 2025.
Moving forward, Thalapathy Vijay’s most recent role was as the main character in the film known as The Greatest Of All Time or simply GOAT. This film, directed by Venkat Prabhu, was an action-packed thriller that revolved around a protagonist who reunites with his long-lost son, initially under the assumption that he had passed away. However, it soon transpired that there was a larger plot at play.
