As a seasoned mobile gamer with over a decade of experience under my belt, I must say that the news about Supercell’s new game, Project RISE, has sent ripples of excitement through the gaming community. Having grown up with Clash of Clans and Brawl Stars, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia coupled with anticipation for this upcoming title.
As a gaming enthusiast, I can confidently say that Supercell stands tall among the giants in the mobile gaming universe. They’ve crafted timeless hits like Clash of Clans and Brawl Stars, and their latest offering, Squad Busters, is no exception. This Finnish studio has a knack for designing games with captivating characters and gameplay that keeps players hooked.
When a fresh game is unveiled, the global community of mobile gamers pauses to hear the details. In their recent disclosure, Supercell has unveiled “Project RISE” – a new mobile game that takes place in the Clash universe. With only a brief glimpse, it’s clear that this game could deliver something significant.
Project RISE Is Still a Long Way From Being Released
Since Project RISE was just unveiled not too long ago, there hasn’t been an official announcement regarding its launch date yet.
On July 7th, Supercell initiated the initial playtest for the game, a week-long pre-alpha version. This provided players with an initial glimpse of the game’s mechanics, visual aesthetic, and overall ambiance, specifically related to Project RISE.
How Gameplay Will Look in Project RISE
The “Project RISE” is essentially a multiplayer-centric, role-playing game (RPG), incorporating roguelike characteristics.
In the introductory video, Supercell underscores the importance of fostering a robust social environment within the game. To put it simply, instead of a Player-versus-Environment (PvE) experience, Project RISE will stimulate cooperation among players and various characters, promoting teamwork rather than individual play.
In this game, you’ll pick a character, team up with two other players, and venture into a place called ‘The Tower.’ Every time you play, you’ll discover a new level of the tower, where you’ll face different enemies. To succeed, you should use your character’s unique skills to survive and progress to the next level. The aim is to climb as high as possible in the Tower.
For long-time Supercell fans, the aesthetic of their new project might remind you of Clash Heroes – a game which seemed to have halted development in 2021. And you’d be correct in making that connection. But don’t worry, Supercell emphasizes that everything else about this new project, named Project RISE, is being created anew. While the visual style may draw comparisons, it will still stand as a unique game.
Apart from Project RISE, it’s worth mentioning that Supercell is also developing an innovative fantasy, monster-slaying game titled mo.co. This new project takes players to a unique world distinct from the Clash universe, offering fresh visual aesthetics, mechanics, and characters.
