As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for nostalgic titles and a keen eye for enhancements, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and disappointment upon hearing about TriggerHeart EXELICA Enhanced coming to Switch next year. The prospect of playing this game on a handheld device is tantalizing, especially with the addition of new elements like Faintear as a playable character and high-resolution CGs.
As a gaming enthusiast, I couldn’t be more thrilled to share some exciting news! The legendary developer Cosmo Machia has officially announced the launch of TriggerHeart EXELICA Enhanced, set for release in April 2025. This is a revamped version of the original TriggerHeart EXELICA that we’ve all grown to love. Let me spill the beans on what we can expect from this port!
TriggerHeart EXELICA Enhanced is coming to Switch
It’s been officially announced that TriggerHeart EXELICA Enhanced will launch on Nintendo Switch on April 24, 2025. However, it’s important to note that, as of now, the game will only be available in Japan.
Given that the initial game, TriggerHeart EXELICA, is accessible across multiple platforms with multiple language options like Steam, it’s quite likely that a worldwide launch will occur eventually as well.
Instead of the physical copy costing 4,950 yen, you’ll pay 4,500 yen for just the digital version.
Additionally, you’ll find a comprehensive collection on hand, featuring items such as TriggerHeart EXELICA, its enhanced version, a dual-CD soundtrack, an enhanced user manual, and a special packaging for the set.
TriggerHeart EXELICA Enhanced serves as an updated version of the PlayStation 2 game with the same title, initially launched on March 26, 2009. This revamped version incorporates numerous additional features into the original game.
- adding Faintear as a new playable character
- a new opening movie by P.A.WORKS with a theme song by Ayane
- “Enhanced” story mode with high resolution CGs
- balance adjustments to existing characters
As an enthusiast, I can’t contain my excitement! Keeping fingers crossed for a worldwide launch, and I promise to share every bit of news as soon as it comes my way. Stay tuned!
