Eddie Redmayne has revealed that he’s coming back for the second season of “The Day of the Jackal.” In this upcoming series, Redmayne will once again take on the character of the Jackal, an elusive international assassin who manages to stay hidden due to his numerous aliases and disguises.

Through a video shared on Sky TV’s social platforms, Redmayne affirmed his comeback for the popular television series.

Redmayne mentioned that the Jackal really dislikes unresolved matters. Therefore, expect to catch up with us again soon for Season 2.

In addition to Redmayne and Lynch, The Day of the Jackal also features stars such as Úrsula Corberó, Charles Dance, Richard Dormer, Chukwudi Iwuji, Lia Williams, Khalid Abdalla, Eleanor Matsuura, Jonjo O’Neill, and Sule Rimi.

As a devoted admirer, I’m proud to share that I, along with some exceptional colleagues, have been involved in the creation of “The Day of the Jackal.” This gripping series is an adaptation from Frederick Forsyth’s 1971 novel of the same name, with me serving as its creator and executive producer. In November, The Day of the Jackal Season 1 made its debut on both Peacock and Sky. According to Nielsen’s statistics, it topped Peacock’s list of popular TV shows and was among the Top 5 streaming original dramas in the United States during its first weekend, making it highly successful.

1) The show was a success on Sky as well, with its first episode attracting a total audience of 4.6 million viewers over a 28-day period. The finale broke records for Sky Original drama series episodes in terms of overnight ratings. Due to its popularity, Season 2 was quickly renewed only weeks after the initial premiere.
