Renukaswamy case: Days after Darshan Thoogudeepa’s bail by HC, Karnataka Police to file a plea challenging it?

As an ardent fan who has followed Darshan Thoogudeepa’s career since his debut, I must admit that this recent turn of events has left me utterly bewildered and disheartened. The news about his involvement in the Renukaswamy murder case, followed by his being granted bail, has been a rollercoaster ride, to say the least.

The murder case of fan Renukaswamy at age 33, in which Darshan Thoogudeepa, a well-known Kannada actor, was the main suspect, has sparked curiosity among many people. On December 13, Thoogudeepa along with actress Pavithra Gowda and three other associates were granted bail. Now, the Karnataka Police intend to submit a fresh appeal to the Supreme Court in an attempt to overturn the previous ruling made by the High Court.

At a recent news briefing, the Police Commissioner of Bengaluru announced their intention to appeal to the Supreme Court regarding the bail that was given to Darshan and his associates, who are key suspects in the murder case.

The Police Commissioner of Bengaluru announced that they intend to ask the Supreme Court to review the bail given to the accused in the Renukaswamy murder case, as the police department is planning to present a proposal to the government first. They are currently working on submitting an appeal to the court.

As an ardent admirer, I’ve learned from my trusted insider connections that, in accordance with instructions from the Home Ministry, our beloved police force has taken the initiative to translate the chargesheet against Darshan from its original language into fluent English. This meticulously prepared translation is now ready and waiting to be submitted before the Supreme Court.

Immediately following the court’s decision to grant bail to Darshan, some sources suggested that he chose to forego a scheduled spinal surgery for which he had requested temporary bail earlier.

Later, the Kannada actor was seen entering the magistrate court early for bail-related procedures. On the courthouse grounds, he was observed walking with a noticeable limp.

According to what his attorney stated, Darshan additionally put his name on an application for the cancellation of his passport. Furthermore, his bail was secured with a personal surety bond valued at Rs. 100,000, which his brother Dinakar and colleague Dhanveer provided as guarantee.

In the case at hand, Pavithra Gowda, who was the second suspect under investigation, was granted bail as well. Immediately upon leaving prison, she made a visit to a temple.
