5 Christmas romances we're decking our TBRs with

As a seasoned gamer of books, I can honestly say that Harlequin has always been my go-to publisher when it comes to finding that perfect blend of romance, holiday cheer, and heartwarming stories. This time around, they’ve outdone themselves with their Christmas TBR list for 2023, and let me tell you, I am beyond excited!

It seems as if the year only began moments ago, yet here we are already decorating halls and preparing gifts. Just like the saying goes, it’s better late than never for our Christmas reading list this year.

No matter what you’re in the mood for, there are plenty of great Christmas romances out there and they’re all going to be Harlequin releases. This is a post I’m working on with Harlequin and as a huge fan of the publisher, this feels like a gift in itself.

I appreciate Harlequin for bringing these books to my attention and assisting me in feeling more festive during the holiday season. To be honest, maintaining the holiday spirit can sometimes be challenging, but reading a Harlequin could just provide that touch of holiday enchantment you’re seeking.

If you’re not much of a reader, perhaps you could pick out a new book as a festive gift for someone, be it for their stocking or a present to be opened before Christmas arrives. Rest assured, even though no one specified reading Christmas romances during this period, there’s certainly still plenty of time left in the year for indulging in such stories if that takes your fancy!

These 5 Christmas romances are on our holiday TBR list.

5 Christmas romances we're decking our TBRs with

1. The Anti-Social Season by Adele Buck

Harlequin introduced its Afterglow Books division, an imprint I’ve been eagerly watching since its debut releases. Over the holiday season, this imprint published “The Anti-Social Season“, a story about Thea and Simon rekindling their friendship from high school days. As adults, they reunite which promises to be quite exciting. Moreover, it’s uncommon to find a female firefighter in a romance novel, making this book jump straight onto my ‘To Be Read’ list.

2. Fa-La-La-La Faking It by Teri Wilson

When I think of classic Harlequin stories, this is one that comes to mind. Fa-La-La-La Faking It follows Adaline and Jace who agree to fake date as a way for Adaline to get her grandmother off her back and honestly, this just sounds like a Hallmark movie come to life. Coupled with the fact that Adaline has a therapy dog, I’m here for it. It’s also a contemporary romance if you’re craving that as we get to the end of the year.

3. Lone Wolf in Lights by Stacey Kennedy

The next book is another pick from Afterglow Books and this one is a cowboy romance. Need I say more as cowboy romances are so hot right now. Lone Wolf in Lights is about Willow and Eli who end up fake-dating as a way to help her out due to her bar recently going viral. While I haven’t read the first book in the series, Afterglow Books are always high up on my TBR no matter the season.

4. Time to Shine by Rachel Reid

Rachel Reid has penned numerous captivating hockey-themed romances, and her latest release, “Time to Shine“, continues to garner enthusiastic reviews. The narrative unfolds around the characters of Casey and Landon, who cross paths when Landon is promoted from his minor league team to support Calgary’s professional hockey squad. With a strong representation of bisexuality, a gradual romance build-up, and the intriguing roommates dynamic, this book seems like an ideal choice for those seeking a snuggly read that immerses you in a heartwarming love story.

5. Christmas at the Chateau by Rochelle Alers

One engaging way to rephrase the text:

In essence, you’ll find numerous delightful Christmas romances worth reading if you’re planning to festoon your home and your To-Be-Read list. So, when the holiday spirit strikes, consider Harlequin as your go-to destination. I’d like to express my gratitude to Harlequin for bringing these titles to my attention and compiling this charming collection.
