However, I regret to inform you that this is not an option. While it would certainly be advantageous, especially if a single card could elevate your deck significantly, it won’t be feasible.

For instance, if I got those points by opening boosters from Genetic Apex, then I can only utilize them for cards within the Genetic Apex expansion.

It appears that the Mythical Island introduces a novel pack point type, enabling you to craft cards from this specific pack if you don’t luck out with them in boosters. However, your Genetic Apex pack points will continue to secure you Genetic Apex cards until the Genetic Apex shop run ends entirely, and there is currently no confirmed date for its closure.
