As a seasoned gamer who’s spent countless hours binge-watching TV shows and movies, I can confidently say that this Monday night lineup is a treat for any viewer. The mix of sports, comedy, drama, country music specials, and even a Christmas movie is simply delightful.
As Christmas and New Year’s Day draw near, many television broadcast networks are planning to take some time off. However, there’s no need to worry if you’re looking for something to watch tonight, specifically on Monday, December 16th – there’s still a wealth of entertainment available on TV!
As a devoted viewer, I can’t help but feel a tinge of nostalgia as we approach the final week of regular TV programming for many shows. This week promises some exciting winter finales on CBS, scattered across different days. Tonight, in particular, is jam-packed with shows running from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., making it a must-watch night for me. Interestingly, other networks are pausing their usual schedules during this time.
NCIS: Origins, Monday Night Football, and more
ABC enjoys a typical evening due to broadcasting Monday Night Football, but the regular season is nearing its end. Soon, they’ll return to their usual programming on Mondays. Tonight, however, the spotlight shifts as the Chicago Bears travel to Minnesota to face off against the Vikings.
Over at CBS, you’ll find an evening filled with humor and emotion, just like any other night on CBS. This evening marks the winter finales for all their shows. In particular, NCIS: Origins is set to tell the tale of Gibbs, who spent his first Christmas without his wife and daughter after they were tragically murdered. As we’ve seen in the main series, we know how Gibbs coped with this loss, but in this spin-off, we get a closer look at his struggles and the decisions he made as he navigated life without them, offering insights into his personal growth and purpose moving forward.
If your preference leans towards country music, then you might want to tune into NBC tonight for “Little Big Town’s Christmas at the Opry”. This special event will feature Little Big Town as hosts, inviting some of the top names in country music to perform on stage.
If you’re a fan of Christmas-themed movies, The CW is where you’ll want to tune in, as Operation Mistletoe makes another appearance. Seeing as Ryan has arrived in town, Grace’s friend thinks it’s the perfect opportunity to bring them closer together, initiating “Operation Mistletoe”. Will their story culminate in a romantic union between Grace and Ryan, or will other interests come into play? Tune in to find out!
