According to Deadline’s sources and Mackie’s interview with Empire Magazine, it appears that Mackie will be reprising his role as Captain America in Avengers: Doomsday! In the interview, he expressed his enthusiasm about working with the Russo Brothers once more.
Mackie expressed his excitement about returning to work with the Russos, stating that they have a special understanding of the Marvel universe. He also noted that having Downey Jr. back in the mix significantly enhances the project, and the chance to witness his contributions is a remarkable opportunity.
