As a film enthusiast with a penchant for intriguing narratives and stellar performances, I am absolutely thrilled about the upcoming collaboration between Anne Hathaway, Dave Bautista, and the Russo Brothers in the “Wedding Sting” movie. The fact that they will not only star in this production but also produce it through their respective banners is a testament to their confidence in the project.
Actress Anne Hathaway, who won an Oscar, and actor Dave Bautista, known for his work in Marvel films, have formally agreed to take on the main roles for the upcoming film titled “Wedding Sting,” produced by Amazon MGM Studios and directed by The Russo Brothers. Apart from their acting duties, both Hathaway and Bautista will also produce this project under their individual production companies, Somewhere Pictures (Hathaway) and Dogbone Entertainment (Bautista).
What is the Russo Brothers’ wedding sting movie about?
In a new twist, the screenplay for “The Wedding Sting” movie is being penned by Jonathan Tropper, known for his work on “The Adam Project”. He’s also currently collaborating with Amazon MGM Studios on another action film starring Dave Bautista, titled “Wrecking Crew”. This upcoming film takes inspiration from a true-life FBI operation, where agents posed as a couple to infiltrate international criminal networks. The operation culminated at a wedding in New Jersey, where the crime bosses were invited. Upon being seated at their tables, they were promptly apprehended.
The original plot will be reimagined as a tale of two FBI agents, who are undercover and have contrasting personalities, living together as a pretense. At first, they dislike each other. However, as the investigation progresses, they come to appreciate and respect one another.
The Russo Brothers are set to produce a new project through their AGBO studio, with Anne Hathaway and Dave Bautista also involved. This venture signifies another collaboration between AGBO and Amazon MGM Studios. Notably, they’re currently jointly developing the international spy thriller franchise “Citadel,” which has already seen adaptations in Italy and India.
