As an ardent enthusiast of Escape from Tarkov, let me share my insights about the “Luxurious Life” quest – a challenging early mission that can be quite vexing. This task becomes accessible after successfully completing “Shooting Cans” and “Debut”. The mission sends you back to Ground Zero, where your objective is to locate and extricate a precious bottle of rare wine. In this guide, I’ll help you navigate to its hidden location, provide tips for safe travel, and share strategies to ensure your survival throughout the journey.
Where to find the wine bottle
The bottle of Le Jean wine is found on the Ground Zero map in the ASAP Winery liquor store, it’s located on the southern side of the Skyside building. The building is located opposite the TerraGroup building in the north, on the western side right before the Emercom Station extraction point.
Regardless of where you’re originating, the liquor store often finds itself under threat from gunfire, either from street roamers or the multitude of scavengers that appear in the park across the road. To minimize the risk of being hit, sneaking in from behind is advisable, approaching via the western side and navigating through the passages. This stealthy approach allows you to enter the liquor store undetected by keeping close to the right wall. However, be cautious as scavengers tend to get disoriented in this area.
After stepping into the shop, you’ll find six possible spots where the bottle might appear. Three of these locations are in the storage room at the back. Another one is situated on the shelf behind the counter, and another one is in the corner shelf to the left of that spot. The remaining location is on a shelf right in the middle, facing the counter. You’re after a green bottle with a red cap, having a white label and an illustration of a red figure on it. For convenience, simply hover your cursor over each bottle until you notice a prompt to pick it up.
To finish your mission, all you need is to retrieve someone alive from Ground Zero. The Emercom Exit is close but is usually occupied by other players. As an alternative, consider using the Mira Ave extract, which is located behind the Skyside building. You can either retrace your steps through the corridor or take the stairs outside. Just before the extraction point, you’ll encounter a dead body that always has a flare on it. Locate the signal zone (it will appear in the top left corner of your screen), use the flare, and aim it skyward when ready to shoot. After shooting the flare, simply walk towards the train station to safely extract without coming under fire.
