As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I’ve seen it all – from game launches that were smooth as silk to those that left players scratching their heads in disbelief. Delta Force falls into the latter category, unfortunately. While I appreciate the developer’s commitment to fixing the issues and adding new content, I can’t help but feel a little jaded.
In its present condition, Team Jade’s Delta Force has encountered numerous technical problems, despite maintaining a robust and consistent player base at the game’s launch.
In addition to developing at least eight fresh maps within the first year, Team Jade has affirmed their tireless efforts in creating extensive updates for the game prior to taking a well-deserved break around the holidays.
Delta Force devs working at “full speed” on patches
To clarify, Team Jade has announced that they are putting maximum effort into making requested enhancements and corrections for the game, which garnered a mixed response upon its initial release.
On December 4th, the Delta Force game, which currently has a mixed rating on Steam, experienced a peak of over 118,000 players. Despite a slight decrease since then, it still attracts approximately 90,000 players at its busiest times, demonstrating its ongoing popularity as a free-to-play team-based shooter game.
Despite numerous praiseworthy reviews, there are several areas about Delta Force that have faced criticism from the gaming community. For instance, some players have experienced problems with their anti-cheat software failing to uninstall properly, which has since been addressed. Additionally, server problems leading to high ping rates, gameplay glitches, and a congested user interface promoting in-game purchases are among the issues that have sparked criticism.
In other places, certain gamers argue they’ve removed the game due to experience point limitations (XP caps), whereas others assert that the developers’ firm anti-cheat measures haven’t eliminated the presence of cheaters within the game.
According to a representative for Delta Force who spoke with VideoGamer, they’re delighted to observe players coming to their game daily and spending a good amount of time playing it on average. Furthermore, they’ve been listening closely to feedback from their amazing community, and the team is working tirelessly to release new content, enhancements, and fixes as quickly as possible.
In addition to large updates and new content, Team Jade is simultaneously developing various versions of the game for Xbox, PlayStation, and mobile devices, along with a single-player Black Hawk Down campaign slated for release in January 2025.
