As the finale episode of Survivor 47 approaches, fans are eagerly waiting to learn the air date and time. This survival series follows a group on a distant island where they must provide for food and shelter while enduring harsh weather, emotional and physical challenges, and wild obstacles. With Episode 13 now broadcasted, many have been left wondering when Part 2 will be released.
So, here are details on Survivor 47 finale and its two-part schedule.
Survivor 47 finale Part 2’s release date and time
The first part of Survivor Season 47 debuted on December 11th between 8 and 10 PM Eastern Time. The second part will be shown on December 18th, which is a Wednesday, again from 8 to 10 PM Eastern Time (as reported by Entertainment Weekly).
The creators behind Survivor Season 47 have chosen to split the finale episode into two parts, and they’ve given a clear reason for this decision. In a recent interview on the On Fire podcast, showrunner and host Jeff Probst explained that the choice to format this season as a two-part finale was made because CBS asked them to produce 14 episodes instead of the regular 13, a request that came several months before filming began for the current season.
He mentioned that they had several ideas they wanted to incorporate into their schedule, including working out certain aspects based on whether or not we could produce 14 episodes. Regardless, he and executive producer Matt Van Wagenen talked about CBS’s proposal and consented to it. Their decision was to split the final episode into two parts and brainstorm strategies to ensure its success.
In the opening episode of Survivor 47, six competitors embarked on a journey to win a million dollars. Throughout the first phase, they faced two immunity challenges and two tribal council meetings. The first challenge required them to dive underwater and solve a puzzle; Genevieve Mushaluk emerged victorious in this round.
In the second round, competitors leaped from a trampoline, maneuvering around hurdles and stacking balls precariously atop one another. During two elimination sessions (council meetings), Genevieve Mushaluk and Andy Rueda were voted off. The final episode will see Rachel LaMont, Sam Phalen, Sue Smey, and Teeny Chirichillo in action.
