Pokémon Company and renowned independent studio Aardman have revealed their plans to work together on an exciting venture, set for release in the upcoming years.
What is the Pokémon and Aardman collaboration?
On Tuesday, the companies made an announcement without providing extensive information about the details. However, they did reveal that this project is labeled as a “special initiative” and will be unveiled to viewers sometime in 2027. The Pokémon Company has also hinted at an exciting collaboration, with Aardman Animation bringing their distinctive narrative style to the Pokémon universe for new adventures.
According to Taito Okiura, VP of Marketing and Media at The Pokémon Company, partnering with Aardman is like a dream come true. He’s incredibly impressed by their skill and imagination, and he can’t wait for everyone to see what they’ve been creating together. It promises to be an amazing experience for Pokémon fans all around the world!
Aardman Animations, a renowned animation studio situated in Bristol, England, specializes in stop motion and clay animation. They are particularly recognized for their creations within the Wallace & Gromit series. Their latest production, titled “Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl,” will be available on Netflix starting January 3, 2025.
