As a longtime fan who has grown up with both Pokémon and Wallace & Gromit, I can hardly contain my excitement for this upcoming collaboration between The Pokémon Company and Aardman Animations! The thought of these two beloved universes coming together is nothing short of mind-blowing.
In the fascinating world of Pokemon, one of its standout features is how seamlessly it integrates with various elements. It seems that by 2027, we’ll get to witness Aardman Animations’ unique touch on this iconic IP, as they have partnered with The Pokemon Company for a joint media project. This collaboration is expected to debut within the next three years.
This week, The Pokémon Company shared hints on social media about their upcoming partnership with Aardman Animations. The announcement was accompanied by a sneak peek video, where Aardman’s distinctive animation style is applied to a Pokeball. For those not familiar, Aardman Animations is the studio responsible for the Wallace and Gromit films and other animations like Chicken Run, and they are currently working on Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl, set to hit cinemas this December.
