DBD devs confirm when “bug fixes and adjustments” are coming for disastrous Chapter 34

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that Dead By Daylight has been quite the rollercoaster this year. From the captivating chapters like Dungeons and Dragons, CastleVania, Tomb Raider, and Alan Wake, to the intriguing additions of The Unknown and Sable Ward, it’s been a thrilling ride. However, the arrival of The Houndmaster has been a bit of a letdown, to say the least. But fear not, fellow survivors! Behaviour Interactive has confirmed that they are working on “bug fixes and adjustments” for DBD Chapter 34, which is music to my ears.

This year’s Dead By Daylight chapters have generally been top-notch. Chapters like Dungeons and Dragons, CastleVania, Tomb Raider, Alan Wake, The Unknown, and Sable Ward were all fantastic. However, things took a slight dip at the end with the arrival of The Houndmaster. Fortunately, Behaviour has confirmed that they are working on “bug fixes and adjustments” for Dead By Daylight Chapter 34, which should help improve it soon.

Make sure to grab all 1,500,000 Bloodpoints available this month through daily logins, and be ready for Bone Chill and the new map to arrive next week as per the December 2024 roadmap. As for the new year, it kickstarts with a Junji Ito collaboration, and leaks have revealed the name and power of the licensed killer set to arrive in March.

For the upcoming year, Dead by Daylight is anticipated to be extraordinary. However, currently, Behaviour Interactive is working on fixing issues related to Dead by Daylight Chapter 34, hoping to improve the less-than-positive response.

Dead By Daylight patch coming “next week”

Behaviour Interactive has announced via their official Dead by Daylight X account that an update will be released “in the upcoming week.” This statement was made in response to fan requests for Behaviour to address bugs and problems associated with The Houndmaster killer.

Usually, bugfix updates are released on Wednesdays, for example, the 8.2.1 update came out on September 4th, followed by 8.2.2 on September 11th and 8.3.1 on October 16th. There can be exceptions like the 8.3.2 update that was distributed on Monday, November 4th. However, we anticipate the Chapter 34 patch will arrive sometime between December 9th and 13th.

As a dedicated fan, I’m excited to share that Behaviour Interactive has hinted at another patch coming up shortly after the one due next week. Although they haven’t specified an exact date or week, community manager Mandy on the Behaviour Interactive forums assures us both patches will be released before the holiday break, so let’s keep our fingers crossed and stay tuned!

Next week, you’ll find the initial update arriving, encompassing both bug resolutions and modifications. Another update is expected to follow not long after that.

It remains unclear what specific updates or changes will be made. However, it’s confirmed that both bug fixes and power modifications are planned for The Houndmaster. At this point, there are no indications of any changes or adjustments for Taurie Cain.

Earlier, we shared that the feedback for Chapter 34 was predominantly unfavorable, and at present, it’s moved slightly to generally negative on Steam. While the Houndmaster appears impressive, players are underwhelmed by her abilities, and she’s plagued with numerous bugs.

In simpler terms, numerous Steam reviews express concerns that the game is disorganized and full of glitches. One user specifically mentioned issues with the dog’s animations, stating that the dog either fails to follow instructions given, doesn’t go where it’s told to go, or, when used for grappling survivors, passes through them instead of making contact. The user also pointed out that the killer’s ability to control the dog often doesn’t function properly.
