As a long-time fan of the Walking Dead universe, I can’t help but feel a sense of pride and excitement as I read through this list of nominations for various films and series featuring our beloved cast members. It’s clear that these talented individuals have found their footing in the vast world of entertainment beyond the walls of Alexandria, Hilltop, and the Kingdom.
As a dedicated fan and gamer of The Walking Dead universe, I’m thrilled to share that the nominations for the 52nd Annual Saturn Awards have been unveiled! It’s quite intriguing to see several categories where my beloved TWD cast members are competing against each other.
Daryl Dixon from “The Walking Dead” has been nominated for the Best Horror Television Series award alongside Anne Rice’s “Interview with the Vampire,” “Evil,” “From,” “Grotesquerie,” and “Teacup.” Additionally, Greg Nicotero, the director, executive producer, and special effects mastermind of “The Walking Dead,” has also been nominated in this category for his work on “Creepshow.
As a dedicated gamer, I’m thrilled to share that “The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live” has been recognized in the Best Television Presentation category! Some other amazing shows up for the award include “Apartment 7A”, “Don’t Move”, “Fargo”, “Ripley”, and none other than “Salem’s Lot”. It’s an honor to be part of this impressive lineup!
In the Best Actor for a Television Series category, we find Andrew Lincoln recognized for his acting skills in The Walking Dead, particularly in “The Ones Who Live.” Similarly, Norman Reedus is nominated for his role in Daryl Dixon’s spinoff. Other notable actors vying for this award are Colin Farrell, Walton Goggins, Jon Hamm, Harold Perrineau, Kurt Russell, and Wyatt Russell – all of whom appeared in The Walking Dead web series titled “The Oath.
Danai Gurira and Melissa McBride are up for Best Actress in a Television Series, with their roles in The Ones Who Live and the Daryl Dixon series respectively. Other nominees for this category include Emma D’Arcy, Rosario Dawson, Jodie Foster, Kathryn Hahn, and Ella Purnell.
Pollyanna McIntosh has been recognized alongside Jennifer Connelly, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Cristin Milioti, Elizabeth Saunders, Anna Sawai, and Rebecca Wisocky for the prestigious title of Best Supporting Actress in a Television Series. Her nomination is a testament to her exceptional portrayal in “The Ones Who Live.
Actor Matthew Jeffers, who plays The Ones Who Live character, has been recognized with a nomination for his outstanding performance in the category of Best Guest Star in a Television Series. Joining him in this esteemed list are Mark Hamill, Martin Kove, Kyle MacLachlan, Andrew Martin, Aubrey Plaza, and Ke Huy Quan, who have also been nominated.
Actor Louis Puech Scigliuzzi (who plays Daryl Dixon) has been nominated in the category of Best Younger Performer for a Television Series. Other nominees include Zackary Arthur, Hannah Cheramy, Camerson Crovetti, Rhenzy Feliz, Joe Locke, Xolo and Mariduena.

Furthermore, the film “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” featuring Logan Kim from “Dead City” (as Hershel) has been recognized with a nomination for Best Fantasy Film. Competing titles in this category include “Beetlejuice,” “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire,” “My Old Ass,” “Poor Things,” and “Wonka.
In the realm of horror flicks, “Longlegs” featuring Alicia Witt (known for her role in “The Walking Dead”), along with “Smile 2” starring Gallner (also a familiar face from “The Walking Dead”), have been recognized among “Abigail,” “Alien: Romulus,” “The First Omen,” “In a Violent Nature,” and “A Quiet Place: Day One” for the Best Horror Film award.
In addition to her role in “Gallner,” she is also featured in the critically acclaimed thriller “Strange Darling,” which has been recognized among the Best Thriller Films. This category also includes “Blink Twice,” “Saltburn,” and “Speak No Evil.” Similarly, “Civil War” and “World Beyond” (starring Alexa Mansour from “The Walking Dead”) as well as “Wolfs” with Austin Abrams have been recognized in the same category.

Competing with it are “Cobra Kai,” “Found,” “Presumed Innocent,” “True Detective: Night Country,” and “Tulsa King.
Among the nominees for Outstanding Superhero Television Series are “The Boys,” “Agatha All Along,” “Loki,” “The Penguin,” “Superman & Lois,” and “The Umbrella Academy.” The cast of “The Boys” includes actors from “The Walking Dead Universe,” namely Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Colby Minifie, Jessie T. Usher, with Michael Zegen starring in “The Penguin.” Additionally, “Superman & Lois” features Michael Cudlitz and Chad L. Coleman.
