As a dedicated Wuthering Waves player since its launch, I can hardly contain my excitement as we approach the release of Wuthering Waves 2.0! The anticipation is palpable within our community, and the leaks that have surfaced online only serve to fuel the fire.
Wuthering Waves 2.0 is less than a month away. There is a lot to anticipate for the community including new playable characters and fresh explorable land. However, there will also be introduction of new QoL improvements along with new features and settings. There are certain additions WuWa fans have wanted since launch, and a Wuthering Waves 2.0 leak shows the introduction of a highly-requested brand-new visual setting.
Kuro Games is all set to debut version 2.0 at the start of the upcoming year. Before the game’s reboot, several leaks have popped up online, revealing some sneak peeks into what’s to come. These leaks showcase new animal and NPC models for Rinascita, as well as stunning new skins. Moreover, these leaks hint at significant changes such as allowing players to switch between male and female protagonists.
Although players have longed for the capability to change a rover’s gender without having to restart the game since its initial release, there are other features being added to Wuthering Waves that fans have also been eagerly anticipating.

On the r/WutheringWavesLeaks subreddit, user KarlSQuent has posted another leak regarding version 2.0. This information was originally shared on the Stormy Waves Discord by a user known as Sleepy.
The leak is a screenshot of new settings for WuWa 2.0. The options are as follows:

It’s clear that the main enhancement among those listed is the inclusion of ray tracing capability. Currently, Kuro Games’ gacha game offers a visually impressive experience, but with ray tracing on board, we can expect the graphics to be even more stunning due to enhanced lighting effects and reflections.
As a gaming enthusiast, you’ll have the freedom to prioritize either exceptional performance or stunning visuals when it comes to ray tracing. It’s fantastic to learn that Kuro is providing an option to eliminate black bars during cut-scenes. While these bars are meant to enhance cinematic experiences, many players like myself prefer to view the entire scene without any obstructions.
To wrap up, you’ll also have the choice to turn on or off the animations in the ribbon. I’m not quite sure how this differs from other settings, but it seems like it could make the movements look more realistic, as if governed by physics.
