The specific cause behind Megan Fox’s departure from the Transformers series remains unclear. Yet, speculation points to her contentious comments about director Michael Bay as a possible factor.
Back in 2009, during an interview with Wonderland, I found myself drawing a striking comparison between Michael Bay’s work approach and the disciplined regime of a dictatorship, much like Hitler’s. I even went so far as to compare him to Napoleon. Working on a Transformers film with Bay is a high-risk, high-stakes endeavor for Shia LaBeouf and me – we practically live on the edge!
Initially, Deadline stated that these remarks led to her dismissal; but later, through a PR representative from Fox, they corrected this information, explaining that Fox opted not to renew her contract instead.
Michael Bay stated in an interview with GQ that Megan Fox’s dismissal was due to Steven Spielberg being upset by her Hitler remarks. Yet, Bay clarified that he personally wasn’t offended and believed she made those comments to draw attention. Bay also suggested that Fox was distracted, engrossed in her BlackBerry at the time. However, Spielberg refuted Bay’s allegations.
