Amazon’s Prime Video has unveiled the official trailer for its upcoming half-hour police drama, “On Call,” set to premiere on January 9, 2025. This eight-episode series stars Troian Bellisario, a former cast member of Pretty Little Liars.

What happens in the On Call trailer?
In this video, we meet Traci Harmon, a character played by Bellisario, as she is teamed up with a fresh police recruit. Throughout the series, her role will be to mentor and assist this new officer in navigating the difficulties they’ll encounter while working together on their assignments. Joining her in the cast are Brandon Larracuente (from The Good Doctor), Eriq La Salle (known for ER and Logan), Lori Loughlin (Fuller House), and Rich Ting (Tulsa King).
The On Call series was jointly developed and overseen by Tim Walsh and Elliot Wolf, while it’s also under the guidance of La Salle, Dick Wolf, and Peter Jankowski. This production is a collaboration between Universal Television, a branch of Universal Studios Group, Amazon MGM Studios, and Wolf Entertainment.

This series masterfully combines bodycam, dashcam, and cellphone footage to give a raw, cinéma vérité feel, making me feel like I’m part of the action. The narrative revolves around Officer Traci Harmon, a seasoned professional with a strong moral compass, who sometimes finds herself at odds with new law enforcement policies due to her unwavering principles. Accompanying her is Alex Diaz, a driven rookie who must navigate the complexities of today’s climate while holding onto his optimistic outlook.
