Netflix has revealed that Wednesday Season 2 is officially underway, as evidenced by a recent photo of actress Jenna Ortega on set in character as Wednesday Addams. The accompanying caption states, “Jenna Ortega seals the coffin on Wednesday Season 2. Arriving in 2025.

What to expect in Wednesday Season 2?

In the upcoming Season 2, actress Jessica Ortega takes on the role of Wednesday Addams, a teenage rule-breaker who possesses psychic abilities. During Season 1, Wednesday enrolled at Nevermore Academy, her parents’ former school, to uncover a murder mystery.

In addition to Ortega, the following actors will reprise their roles in Season 2: Emma Myers plays Enid Sinclair, Joy Sunday portrays Bianca Barclay, Catherine Zeta-Jones takes on Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán stars as Gomez Addams, Moosa Mostafa is cast as Eugene, Georgie Farmer appears as Ajax, Victor Dorobantu acts as Thing, Isaac Ordonez embodies Pugsley Addams, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo joins as Deputy Ritchie Santiago, Jamie McShane assumes the role of Sheriff Donovan Galpin, and Fred Armisen portrays Uncle Fester.

Among the esteemed performers set to feature in Season 2 is Lady Gaga, whose role has yet to be revealed. Additionally, we can expect Steve Buscemi, Christopher Lloyd, Thandiwe Newton, and Haley Joel Osment to make appearances in the upcoming season as well.

As Alfred Gough and Miles Millar crafted the show “Wednesday,” they hinted to Tudum that Season 2 would delve deeper into shadows, as our character, me, encounters yet another intriguing enigma.

As a gamer, I’m diving into the next chapter of my adventure with Wednesday this season. It’s getting darker and more intricate as she deals with family, friends, fresh enigmas, and familiar foes. This new journey is hurling me right back into another year at Nevermore.

Tim Burton is back as both director and an executive producer for Season 2. Paco Cabezas and Angela Robinson will also take on directing roles. Additionally, Steve Stark, Andrew Mittman, Tommy Harper, Karen Richards, Kayla Alpert, Jonathan Glickman, Gail Berman, and Meredith Averill will serve as executive producers as well.
