As a dedicated follower of the Telugu film industry, I have to admit that this news about Pushpa 2: The Rule’s midnight shows being stopped in Bengaluru has left me a bit disheartened. I’ve been eagerly awaiting this movie for what feels like forever, and the idea of having to wait even longer to catch it on the big screen is less than ideal.
The Rule,” starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, is scheduled for release in cinemas on December 5, 2024. However, it looks like fans in Bengaluru might have to postpone their plans to watch the movie on the big screen a little longer.
According to a recent tweet from Manobala Vijaybalan, the late-night screenings of Allu Arjun’s movie have been halted in Bengaluru by the district administrator. This decision was made following a petition submitted by the Kannada Film Producers Association.
The group contends that no Kannada movies have historically been screened prior to 6 AM. Consequently, they aim to maintain this convention and prevent any late-night screenings of Pushpa 2: The Rule.
Moreover, it’s been suggested that the petition was submitted due to concerns about expensive tickets for late-night performances and initial screenings, which could have played a role in the decision-making process.
Despite the Bengaluru district collector refusing permission for late-night screenings mere hours before the film’s premiere, states such as Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have given the green light for additional shows via Government Order (G.O.). Notably, these regions have also permitted a rise in ticket prices.
The eagerly anticipated film featuring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna as the main characters will pick up where it left off with the tale of Pushparaju and his journey through the realm of red sandalwood trafficking. The original concluded on a suspenseful note, leading us to anticipate that the second part will disclose what transpires between Pushpa and his adversary, Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat.
With Pushpa 2 set to hit screens imminently, its creators have already unveiled a follow-up titled Pushpa 3: The Rampage. In an exclusive chat with TopMob, the screenwriter of the movie hinted that the upcoming sequel will be significantly larger, more spectacular, and superior in quality compared to the first two installments.
In addition to Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, this film boasts a talented ensemble cast that includes Fahadh Faasil, Sunil, Jagapathi Babu, and several other notable actors in significant parts.
