The bronze medalist from the Summer Olympics shared a video featuring herself wearing a blue and white uniform, representing her team. Maher expressed her enthusiasm, saying, “I can’t wait to become a member of the Bristol Bears and compete in women’s rugby’s premier league alongside some of the world’s top players.” She also mentioned her anticipation, “I’m eager to consider Bristol as my home as we prepare for the Rugby World Cup 2025, which will be hosted right here in England.

As a dedicated fan, I’ve always admired Maher’s unwavering passion for rugby. In an exclusive interview with The Guardian, she disclosed that this exciting partnership had been in the pipeline since her stint on DWTS. She shared how she reached out to several prominent English rugby clubs towards the end of 2023. But it was her determination that finally bore fruit during the reality show. The Bristols extended an invitation, assisting her with a visa so she could represent them on the field.

Maher too revealed that all of a sudden she was inundated with various job proposals, both by call and email. Even though several teams extended offers to her, she decided to remain with the Bristol Bears. According to The Guardian, it’s possible that Maher will make her debut on January 4, 2025.
