As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for dungeon crawlers and a soft spot for talking animal companions, I’m thrilled to hear that “Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island” is coming to PC via Steam on December 11. The prospect of embarking on a new adventure with my furry sidekick Koppa, and exploring the unknown territories of Serpentcoil Island, has me more than a little excited.
Having eagerly awaited its arrival since the start of this year, I’m thrilled to share that on December 11th, I’ll be diving into the world of dungeon RPGs once more, as Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island will officially launch for PC via Steam. Can’t wait to explore those mysterious islands!
Shiren and Koppa
Shiren the Vagabond and his chatty ferret companion Koppa are granted a vision. In this vision, a girl in a distant land is suffering. The duo immediately spring into action and embark on a journey towards the enigmatic island of Serpentcoil.
As I stand here, I’m not the only one captivated by tales of the elusive pirate gold buried deep within this island. Adventurers and warriors from far and wide are intrigued by these whispers, their eyes gleaming with anticipation. Yet, lurking atop its tallest peak, a formidable beast guards an even more fantastical treasure. The thrill of the chase and the allure of untold riches keep us all on our toes.
Mystery Dungeon and Online Rescue
In the game’s Mystery Dungeon, each playthrough presents a fresh arrangement of terrain, new allies, and new adversaries. It’s essential that you stay alert and ready to adjust your tactics swiftly as you encounter unforeseen obstacles.
A plethora of highly useful attributes are at your disposal. Key aspects such as an easily accessible toolbar for managing various projectiles and magic staffs contribute to a more fluid and delightful gameplay.
If a player encounters trouble and falls unconscious in their dungeon, they have the option to summon other online players for help. These rescuers can continue the player’s adventure from where it was last played, preserving all previous progress.
Plus Pack
The extra “Plus Pack” DLC offers you a total of ten brand-new dungeons, plus the exciting opportunity to team up with Shiren’s partners Koppa and Asuka the swordswoman in the Sacred Tree.
According to developer Spike Chunsoft, the game titled “Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island” is set to be released on Steam on December 11th, priced at $39.99.
The core game includes all the free updates from the Switch edition. However, an extra content pack called “Plus Pack” will cost you $14.99. Additionally, if you’d like to purchase the digital soundtrack, it offers 109 tracks spanning over 330 minutes for $24.99.
