As a seasoned gamer and a devoted fan of WWE, I must say that 2024 has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride for the women’s division, especially with the stellar performances by stars like Liv Morgan and Becky Lynch. Liv Morgan’s journey this year is truly inspiring, from her return at the Royal Rumble to becoming the inaugural Women’s Crown Jewel Champion.
Over the past few months, I’ve had some incredible matches with top WWE stars like Rhea Ripley, Becky Lynch, Tiffany Stratton, and Nia Jax, just to name a few. Recently, I found myself in an unusual position of praising one of my recent adversaries – the phenomenal Becky Lynch.
2024 saw Liv Morgan shine particularly brightly in the women’s division. Starting from her comeback at the WWE Royal Rumble, culminating in her ongoing rivalry with Rhea Ripley, and reaching its peak when she claimed the title of the first-ever Women’s Crown Jewel Champion after overcoming Nia Jax. In essence, Morgan has made remarkable progress throughout this year.
During an honest conversation, Morgan expressed admiration for her competitor Becky Lynch. These two prominent figures faced off in a feud back in April and May, culminating in a contest at the WWE’s King and Queen of the Ring Special Event.
In that contest, Morgan claimed the Women’s World Championship from Lynch, but they squared off again on an episode of WWE RAW shortly after, with Morgan successfully defending her title once more. After the bout, it was disclosed that Lynch’s WWE agreement had come to an end.
With word spreading about Lynch’s contract ending, there were also hints at her possible retirement, a scenario Morgan had mentioned before. However, more recently, Morgan has openly praised Lynch, referring to her as someone destined for the WWE Hall of Fame.
Liv Morgan praises Becky Lynch, calls her a future WWE Hall of Famer
In a recent chat with Inside the Ropes magazine, Liv Morgan shared her belief that if Becky Lynch were to retire, there’s no doubt in her mind that Lynch would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Morgan put it this way: “I truly believe if Becky doesn’t come back, she absolutely will be a Hall of Famer. She’s become a symbol for women’s wrestling and exceptional entertainment as a whole. She’s got the skills to excel in any area.
Additionally, Morgan commended Becky Lynch for her achievements not only in the ring but also beyond it. She expressed that Lynch’s ambition was to elevate women’s wrestling, making it as significant and impactful as men’s wrestling, which she successfully achieved while excelling as a devoted new mother.
For several months, Lynch hasn’t been seen in WWE. However, there’s increasing chatter suggesting her potential comeback could happen during the initial episode of WWE RAW on Netflix, which is set for release on January 6.
