With the end of Arcane Season 2 streaming on Netflix, Christian Linke, one of its co-creators, has provided an update about the upcoming chapters in the League of Legends universe. Excitingly, a spin-off series for Arcane is currently being developed, focusing on significant regions such as Noxus, Ionia, and Demacia. Although specifics are yet to be revealed, Riot Games has verified that they are actively engaged in multiple projects, with more exciting announcements to follow.

According to Riot Games, there will be less Arcane spin-offs being produced than originally anticipated.
During an interview on Twitch with League of Legends creator Necrit94, co-creator Christian Linke disclosed that upcoming shows centered around the regions of Noxus, Ionia, and Demacia are part of the future growth of the Arcane universe. He explained, “We’re working on shows for Noxus, Ionia, and Demacia, which will continue to build this cinematic universe… The next series in this universe has been in development for approximately a year.
Due to certain statements made earlier, fans assumed that three distinct spin-offs were in development. However, Riot Games co-founder Marc Merrill later clarified on X (previously Twitter) that what was said was not about three separate shows but rather exploring three different regions. In fact, they are considering numerous shows and games for the future.
Even though there might be some uncertainty, Merrill underscored that numerous projects are being worked on, albeit only one is currently making significant strides. The project centered around Noxus, Ionia, and Demacia is the most advanced among them, having been in development for approximately a year now. Given a typical three-year production process like Arcane Season 2, we might expect its release sometime between late 2026 and early 2027.
Originally, the announcement brought a flurry of enthusiasm for numerous spin-offs. However, fans should anticipate a slower release of fresh content in the Arcane universe instead.
