As a dedicated fan who has weathered stormy Scottish moors, heartbreaking love stories, and time-traveling twists with Claire and Jamie, I eagerly anticipate each new episode of Outlander. The latest sneak peeks have me on the edge of my kilt!
In the tenth episode of Outlander’s seventh season, as suggested by the pictures that have been unveiled, both Claire and Young Ian reach Philadelphia. The majority of the released photographs primarily concentrate on Claire’s narrative.
After over a year, the long-lasting period known as Droughtlander finally concluded in a mix of sweetness and sadness. It was during this time when Claire, Jamie, and Young Ian returned to Lallybroch, but an unexpected turn of events forced Claire and Young Ian to part ways. Lord John Grey wrote to Claire, requesting her aid to save his nephew, thus beginning another chapter in their complex lives.
At the close of the episode, it was Claire who departed, taking Young Ian along for their journey over the sea. As Ian didn’t have long left, Jamie found himself unable to go; instead, he placed his faith in Young Ian ensuring Claire’s well-being.
Claire and Young Ian make it to Philadelphia in Outlander season 7, episode 10
It turns out that things work out well, as Claire and Young Ian successfully reach Philadelphia. The pictures from the show provide glimpses of them sharing a moment together and also apart.
Through her surgical skills, Claire is now prepared to operate on Lord John Grey’s nephew. This inevitably implies that there will be scenes where Lord John Grey and Claire interact. Given the critical condition of his nephew, he must confide in Claire all the recent developments concerning him.
During some time, Denny will observe Claire’s work as well. Given that he appreciates Claire’s skills and is keen on learning from her, it’s reasonable to expect that he would be curious about the surgical procedure on Henry Grey.
In addition to some images featuring Claire alongside a woman identified as Mercy Woodcock, it’s been revealed that she will appear in the seventh season of Outlander. If you are familiar with the surname, there is significance to it. In the novels, Mercy is linked to Walter Woodcock. It remains to be seen if Claire discovers this connection and can provide her with updates regarding her husband.
Jamie remains in Scotland in Outlander season 7
Currently, Jamie Fraser remains in Scotland. His presence is crucial as Ian approaches his last moments, allowing us a chance to witness a private moment between them. This much was hinted at in the promotional material.
In the upcoming episode, we get a glimpse of Jamie and Jenny sharing quality moments. Given their strong sibling relationship, these scenes are crucial to portray. Over time, they’ve been each other’s pillars during challenging periods, and with the unique circumstances surrounding their narratives, it’s essential for viewers to see more of them together.
If the TV series follows the path of its source material (the books), we might see a significant increase in Jenny Murray’s role. However, it remains uncertain if this will be the case, as there could potentially be minor alterations in the plot due to different requirements in scriptwriting.
Roger and Buck deal with Geillis Duncan
In the last episode, Roger managed to bring Buck MacKenzie to a healer named Geillis Duncan at Cranesmuir. The photo we can’t ignore shows their current situation, and given that Geillis is someone Roger is well aware of the potential complications with, it leaves us with a sense of anticipation about what will happen next.
In a different wording: Buck isn’t aware of it, but he is actually Geillis’s son, though she hasn’t realized this yet. It’s the year 1739. Will Buck believe Roger when he tells him how wicked Geillis truly is?
