As a seasoned Stalker, I’ve seen my fair share of danger and despair in the Exclusion Zone. But let me tell you, finding that Viper Monolith SMG at the Journalist’s Stash was an experience I won’t soon forget!
Having a good weapon is vital in Stalker 2 because there are a lot of threats to deal with in the dreaded Exclusion Zone. From terrifying psychic dogs to invisible mutants and, of course, your fellow humans, you will need a trusty weapon to keep you safe in tense moments.
Where to get the Viper Monolith SMG – Stalker 2
You can locate the Viper Monolith SMG in the Journalist’s Cache, which is situated atop a factory in the north of the Lesser Zone, near the riverbank. To reach it, make your way northward to the substantial factory, then descend into the factory grounds. The cache containing the Viper Monolith is perched on the rooftop of one of the smaller structures, but we’ll have to take a roundabout path to access it.
Approach the grand, white structure with caution; it’s a dangerous locale brimming with pitfalls. Be vigilant for tripwires linked to grenades, disarm them discreetly to avoid revealing yourself on the upper platform. If you intend to ascend there, locate the staircase hidden at the back left corner of the room.
In this scenario, an NPC named Leshy is perched at a high location. If you manage to defeat him, he’ll hand over some valuable loot. To reach him, exit the building through the back door, then turn left to locate a ladder that climbs up the exterior wall, leading you to the rooftop. On the opposite side of the roof, you’ll find another ladder descending to a lower building. Inside this lower building, hidden in a blue chest, is the Viper Monolith SMG. Simply open the chest to claim your prize.
