More recently, Akhil Akkineni has delighted his followers by revealing his engagement to Zainab Ravdjee. Their enchanting photos together have swept across the web, yet the pair have opted to keep secret the exact date of their upcoming wedding. Earlier, in 2016, the actor from Mr Majnu was once engaged to Shriya Bhupal, a talented fashion designer who is also the granddaughter of business magnate GVK Reddy.
Yet, their relationship proved fleeting, ending prematurely after mere months. Initially, they had planned an extravagant destination wedding in Italy. Regrettably, rumors of their separation sparked widespread curiosity about the underlying issues that may have led to their split.
It appears that a robust report indicated there was a significant argument between Akhil and Shriya at the Hyderabad airport, leaving deep fissures in their relationship.
Although their families made efforts to mediate the issue, neither of them found it simple to alter their decisions or seize another opportunity.
Another theory as to why the actor ended his relationship with Shriya suggests that he came to understand a significant difference between them. At the time of their engagement, Akhil was only 22 years old, while Shriya was already 26.
It emerged that Nagarjuna’s son hesitated at the eleventh hour and decided against going through with the marriage due to his young age. This sudden change of heart put strain on their budding relationship, ultimately leading to its breakdown.
Regardless of the cause, their relationship ended, following which Shriya moved to the United States to dedicate herself to her career. Meanwhile, Akhil remained and immersed himself fully in his professional duties.
Presently, Akhil is prepared to embark on a fresh phase in life, following his recent announcement of his engagement to renowned artist Zainab Ravdjee, the daughter of industrialist Zulfi Ravdjee.
On his Instagram, the actor posted some dreamy photos, captioned with “I’ve found my eternal companion. Delighted to share that I am engaged to Zainab Ravdjee.
Despite no official wedding announcement yet, the Akkineni family – including Nagarjuna and his wife Amala – have already been expressing warmth towards their future daughter-in-law Zainab, similar to how they welcomed Sobhita Dhulipala as well.
