AEW Star Bryan Danielson Gives Health Update After Jon Moxley Match

As a gamer who has followed Bryan Danielson‘s career closely, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions when reflecting on his journey. The events at WrestleDream 2024 were a bitter pill to swallow, especially after the betrayal by Jon Moxley and his faction. It was like watching my favorite character in a game get backstabbed by an NPC, only for the villain to claim the crown.

At AEW WrestleDream 2024, Bryan Danielson squared off against Jon Moxley in a bid for the World Heavyweight Championship, driven by a desire for revenge following Moxley’s treachery at All Out 2024. In their match at All Out, Danielson was unexpectedly attacked by his own faction. As Moxley, joined by Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir, and Pac, unleashed a vicious assault on an unsuspecting Danielson, Wheeler Yuta tried valiantly to intervene but was held back by Pac. The betrayal propelled Moxley to the position of Danielson’s top contender for the World Heavyweight Championship.

At WrestleDream 2024, Moxley triumphed over Danielson to win the World Heavyweight Championship. After the bout, the Death Riders attacked Danielson, with Yuta joining them for this occasion. This severe attack brought an end to Danielson’s active wrestling career. In recent news, Danielson, who has been dealing with neck problems, shared some health updates.

AEW star Bryan Danielson discusses neck issues and full-time wrestling career

Bryan Danielson, the previous AEW World Heavyweight Champion, recently spoke on the Nikki & Brie Show and shared some updates about his health. He clarified that while he hasn’t officially retired, if he had lost in a specific match (against Swerve), he would have. He added that after this, he considered it as the end of his full-time wrestling career. However, he mentioned that there are still uncertainties about his neck condition, and it currently feels like he’s a bobblehead.

As a devoted fan, I’ve always admired the legendary wrestler, Danielson. He shared that his wife, Brie Garcia, had planned to post something in celebration of his retirement from full-time wrestling. Yet, Danielson humbly declined, expressing that wrestlers never truly retire. He explained that his last “retirement” was more like a coerced transition since he hadn’t contemplated hanging up his boots. Intriguingly, he expressed, “They wouldn’t let me wrestle again.” Elaborating further, Danielson added, “What I discovered is that people feel sad for a while, but then everyone moves on. The most challenging aspect of it all is for the one who decides to do it.

It appears that recent speculation indicates Bryan Danielson might be moving towards a possible part-time wrestling position, which could mean his next appearance will be on our screens soon.
