As a seasoned gamer who has seen more movies than I can count on my fingers, let me tell you that November is always bittersweet for us Netflix enthusiasts. On one hand, we’re eagerly awaiting the new content that December brings; on the other, we have to bid farewell to some gems that are leaving our favorite streaming platform.
With just a handful of days remaining in November, it’s important to note that some great films will be leaving Netflix soon. If you’re seeking recommendations for your Netflix viewing, then this list has been tailored just for you!
As November draws to a close, we’ve selected our top three favorite movies that are set to depart from Netflix. We strongly advise you to catch them before they vanish within the next few days.
Every month, Netflix typically relinquishes the streaming rights for several popular and older movies that were licensed to them, usually at the end of each month.
We can kick off the list right away with “Two Weeks Notice” – a movie that you don’t necessarily need to see immediately, think more like a five-day heads up. Starring the talented duo, Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant!
Two Weeks Notice
Last day to watch: Saturday, Nov. 30
Instead of “Two Weeks Notice” being two decades old, it’s as fresh as ever for a romantic comedy viewing on Netflix when you have some spare time. The movie, directed by March Lawrence, revolves around Lucy, portrayed by Bullock, who becomes employed by the billionaire George, played by Grant, who can be quite rude initially. However, their relationship doesn’t start off well, but as time passes, things shift dramatically. If you catch my drift, there’s a hint of enemies-to-lovers dynamic in the plot.
Generally speaking, “Two Weeks Notice” might not rank among Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant’s top romantic comedies, but it’s definitely worth watching. I recommend catching it on Netflix before it disappears at the end of this month.
It Chapter Two
Last day to watch Saturday, Nov. 30
It Chapter Two is also leaving Netflix on Nov. 30, so you only have a few days to watch it. If you’re an It fan or if you haven’t seen the horror movie based on Stephen King’s famous novel of the same name, you should definitely make time.
In “It Chapter Two,” which is 27 years after the initial film, the storylines diverge from the original novel. The monstrous entity known as Pennywise resurfaces to terrorize the Losers once more, but this time they have grown much older. They are compelled to revisit Derry with the aim of putting an end to Pennywise for good.
The following individuals make up the star-studded cast of the movie: James McAvoy, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, Jessica Chastain, Bill Skarsgård, Andy Bean, and James Ransone.
In summary, “It Chapter Two” doesn’t quite measure up to “It Chapter One,” a film that was previously available on Netflix but isn’t currently. Sticking with a successful formula can be tough, but its popularity has certainly given a boost to the upcoming series “Welcome to Derry,” set to debut on HBO and Max next year.
Frances Ha
Last day to watch: Saturday, Nov. 30
Without a doubt, “Frances Ha” stands out as the top pick among movies departing from Netflix in November. If you’ve yet to watch “Frances Ha“, now would be an excellent time to catch it!
Frances Ha is helmed by the talented director Noah Baumbach. The leading role is played by Greta Gerwig, who has directed several successful films such as Barbie and the forthcoming Chronicles of Narnia movies on Netflix. The movie follows Frances, portrayed by Gerwig, as she navigates life and pursues her dream of becoming a dancer. However, it delves into much more profound themes, mirroring the complexity found in all of Baumbach’s cinematic works.
If you like indie movies, this is the movie for you to watch right now. It’s probably my favorite of Baumbach’s movies. If you like Frances Ha, you should definitely watch The Meyerowitz Stories, Marriage Story, and White Noise on Netflix.
Here are the three must-watch films on Netflix that will be departing in November:
