Manjummel Boys actor gets caught overspeeding under the influence of alcohol, arrested: REPORT

As a long-time admirer of Ganapathi’s exceptional talent and the magic he brings to Malayalam cinema, I find myself both disheartened and bewildered by his recent incident involving drunk driving. Having followed his career from his early days as a child artist in films like Vinodayathra and Pranchiyettan & The Saint, it’s hard not to feel a sense of disappointment when such news emerges.

Actor Ganapathi from Manjummel Boys has made news lately due to allegedly driving too fast under the influence of alcohol. This event happened on a Saturday night. As per Kerala Kaumudi’s report, the police apprehended him for excessive speed in his vehicle as he was heading towards Kalamassery from Angamaly.

On Sunday, authorities charged Ganapathi with reckless driving under the influence of alcohol and disregarding traffic signals. His high-speed journey was along the road connecting Kalamassery and Angamaly. In spite of being instructed to halt at Athani and Aluva, he chose to continue driving instead.

Later on, at Kalamassery, he was pulled over and found to be under the influence of alcohol. His unpredictable lane shifts and excessive speeding were also observed by the police. Nevertheless, Ganapathi was granted bail following this incident.

As a seasoned expert on all things lifestyle-related, I’d like to share some insights about Ganapathi, a beloved Malayalam actor whose journey in the film industry began at a tender age as a child artist. His early roles graced films such as Vinodayathra, Pranchiyettan & The Saint, and Chithrasalabhangalude Veedu.

Ganapathi launched his acting journey through voice-over work for Santhosh Sivan’s Anandabhadram. His debut as a young performer came in the bilingual movie Before The Rains, also directed by Sivan. He garnered fame with his performance in Vinodayathra, a film helmed by Sathyan Anthikkad.

Apart from that, he took on the main role in the kids’ movie “Chithrashalabhangalude Veedu,” helmed by Krishnakumar, and made his debut in Hindi films through “The Waiting Room,” under the direction of Maneej Premnath.

Ganapathi made his film debut as a child actor in movies such as Pranchiyettan & The Saint, Mallu Singh, and Alibhai. Later, he took on roles in Kamattipaadam, Puthan Panam, and Chunkzz before headlining Vallikudilile Vellakkaran.

Afterward, he made an appearance in the movie “Mr. & Ms. Rowdy,” which was helmed by Jeethu Joseph. Amidst the COVID-19 outbreak, he took on the role of director for the short film “Onnu Chirikoo” and acted in the Malayalam web series “Instagraamam,” which was overseen by Mridul Nair.

In the movie Jan.E.Man, which he both wrote and acted in, Ganapathi was joined by his brother Chidambaram as the director. Additionally, Ganapathi made an appearance in another film directed by Chidambaram, titled Manjummel Boys.

In the year 2024, the movie turned out to be one of the most financially successful Malayalam films ever made. Featuring Sreenath Bhasi and other talented actors, it helped boost Mollywood’s reputation nationwide.
