As a die-hard WWE fan who has witnessed the evolution of some of the most iconic factions, I must say that the Riott Squad holds a special place in my heart. Their raw energy and unapologetic attitude resonated with viewers, shaking up the roster and leaving an indelible mark on women’s wrestling.
Previously, WWE sensation Liv Morgan formed an alliance known as the Riott Squad with Sarah Logan and AEW’s Ruby Soho. The trio first appeared on the main roster together during a 2017 episode of WWE SmackDown.
As a passionate fan, I can’t help but express my awe when I reflect on the electrifying entrance of The Riott Squad. Instead of treading softly into the WWE scene, they took matters into their own hands, going straight for powerhouses like Becky Lynch and Naomi, former Women’s Champions. Liv Morgan, Ruby Soho, and Sarah Logan certainly stirred up a storm within the roster. Regrettably, despite being a formidable force for two years, The Riott Squad never managed to secure any gold during their tenure with WWE.
The Riott Squad remained operational until 2019 when WWE moved Morgan to RAW, ultimately causing the group’s disbandment. Following this, each of the prominent members embarked on solo careers. Liv Morgan eventually won multiple Women’s Championships, while Sarah Logan, now recognized as Valhalla, now manages The Viking Raiders.
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that Ruby Soho, once a part of WWE until 2021, has now joined forces with AEW. This powerhouse performer tied the knot with fellow AEW star Angelo Parker, and their family just expanded with the arrival of their precious little girl. While the memories of the Riott Squad in WWE remain vivid, Liv Morgan, the reigning Women’s World Champion, has recently opened up about her experiences within that faction.
Liv Morgan expresses pride in her time with The Riott Squad
Recently on The Ringer Wrestling Show, Liv Morgan spoke about her sense of pride regarding her tenure with the Riott Squad. She highlighted their dedication, noting that they consistently worked every televised program and live event.
Morgan expressed her pride in her time spent with the Riott Squad, having forged strong bonds with the team members. They were unexpectedly brought together and worked tirelessly to make the group successful while also enjoying some of the best moments of her career.
The current WWE Women’s World Champion added, “We pushed ourselves tirelessly at every television appearance and live event. I’m incredibly proud of the intensity of our work and the friendships we forged along the way. The strong connection we built is something truly special.
The three stars are currently thriving in their individual singing endeavors. Frequently, fans express a longing for another collaboration from this trio. Unfortunately, a reunion of the Riott Squad might not happen due to Ruby Soho’s commitment to AEW.
