From Toy Story to Finding Nemo, Pixar has consistently transported us to magical worlds and now, they’re taking it to a whole new level with Elio.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that I got my hands on a sneak peek at Pixar’s latest trailer! It’s all about a young boy who, in an extraordinary twist of events, is believed to be Earth’s leader by a group of intriguing aliens from outer space. Can’t wait to see how this story unfolds!
What happens in the Elio teaser trailer?
The trailer presents fans with Elio, a boy who thinks he’s meant to be kidnapped by extraterrestrials. Following his encounter and being brought aboard a puzzling spaceship, he encounters a whole alien crew who start to view him as the Earth’s leader.
Elio is set to release in theaters on June 13, 2025.

Elio is helmed by directors Madeline Sharafian, Domee Shi, and Adrian Molina. The film is produced by Mary Alice Drumm. The voice talent includes Yonas Kibreab portraying Elio, Zoe Saldaña voicing Olga, Elio’s aunt, Jameela Jamil as Ambassador Questa, and Brad Garrett as Ambassador Grigon.
The first movie presents Elio, an ordinary boy with a vivid imagination, who unexpectedly gets transported to the Communiverse, a diverse group of extraterrestrial representatives from various galaxies. Due to a misunderstanding, he’s misidentified as Earth’s diplomat to the universe and finds himself under immense pressure. To cope, Elio forges friendships with strange alien beings, faces challenging tests, and embarks on a journey to uncover his true identity.

Initially planned for a U.S. theater release on March 1, 2024, the premiere date for Elio was pushed back in October 2023 due to the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) strike.
